COVID Conversations: Nisha Ayub on the Importance of Support

It is very important for Nisha Ayub to ensure that no one gets left behind – not before we had to contend with this pandemic, and especially not now while communities are feeling excluded from services and much needed support.

Nisha is part of Malaysia’s SEED Foundation, a group of committed social workers run by the community for the community. Working with and for the marginalized, Nisha shared during our first #COVIDConversations how the coronavirus has adversely affected the homeless, migrants, transgender persons, people living with HIV, and sex workers.

“This pandemic will have a long impact. We need trans-friendly support. We need more allies. We need hope ending with action.”
