Ezra Gideon: “…loving someone is not wrong.”

UPDATE: Please note that since the release of this video, Nadia Gideon has transitioned and now wishes to be known as Ezra Gideon. His pronouns are his/him henceforth. We are unable to change the video at this moment, but we have edited the original caption of this meme. Ezra said he is happy to still be associated with the Mothers of Dragons project and simply requested that we put this note in the caption. From all of us at Innovation for Change – East Asia, all the best on your journey, Ezra!

As an openly queer person, Ezra Gideon beautifully said in our video Malaysia’s Mothers of Dragons: “If I believe in myself, and I know I’m not wrong, loving someone is not wrong, I just go ahead and do what we need to do, we press on. We got no time to listen to anybody to tell us to keep quiet. We can’t keep quiet anymore. We need to support each other and be proud of each other.”

As a PR Consultant and crisis expert, his services have been highly sought after by businesses during the present pandemic. His general advice to them is that they should be “more humane instead of being bottom-line centric; more employee engagement, less publicity-seeking.”
