Lara, One of Our Korea’s Mothers of Dragons, on the Hope for Change

DO YOU believe society can change for the better?

For LARA, the mom of a genderqueer person and a member of PFLAG Korea, “Though it is individuals who engage in activism, it doesn’t feel like we are doing it alone. It can be done because we are together, and we can keep going because we are together. As all social movements have changed society, the LGBTQIA movement has also changed society. I have faith that society will change little by little.”

An active member of Queer Play Festival and Incheon’s Women Union, Lara is also a member of the sexual minorities committee Daejeon-si office of Justice Party.
