OH SUNGHEE, an advocate for the rights of the comfort women of war, asks us, “Why can’t the world respect all our rights? I get so angry when I think about the comfort women. Victims of state or social violence should not have to cry out for settlement. However, even when they claimed it, they still couldn’t get it. I frequently think, ‘Don’t we need a society where the rights of victims are well protected?'”
Oh Sunghee continues to take a keen interest in the activities of the liberal political parties and the reconciliation of past human rights abuses.
